Introducing...

THE GODDESS OF MICHIGAN AVENUE

In fiction, shapeshifters kick ass.
In 21st Century Chicago, not so much.

Willa DiAngelo—divorcee, demi-goddess and sometime wolf—plots out theories for her unexplained powers in her popular paranormal novels. When two attempts are made on her life in quick succession, Willa must find the source of her freakish nature to figure out why someone wants her dead.

Dante, her über-protective best friend and the subject of many erotic fantasies, actively discourages Willa from rooting around to find her family tree. The discovery of a grandmother she never knew existed turns Willa’s world upside down, with consequences that force her to choose between the man she loves and the family she’s always longed for.

Greco-Roman mythology meets the Brothers Grimm in THE GODDESS OF MICHIGAN AVENUE, approximately 85,000 words, a wolfish paranormal romance.

Nice blog, posts, info! Yet, I guess there are a lot of books, stories with the usual, ordinary already characters like kings, knights, princesses, vampires, dwarves, wizards with sharp hats, etc? We can read about them in almost every book of the genre? There should be new, unseen and unknown characters, creatures in the stories. Creatures like weightless korks, glowing, living balls, night fruit, fish-keepers, Brown faces, Fiery men, etc I use in some of my works sound more interesting than the usual?
I know the most important in the fantasy genre are the wisdom, good plot and writing skills but some "fresh blood" of new characters would make the fantasy books better?
Keep the good work going! LET THE WONDERFUL NOISE OF THE SEA ALWAYS SOUNDS IN YOUR EARS! (a greeting of my water dragons' hunters).

Hi - Fantasy is huge right now, so you should do well with your water dragons and their hunters.

I moderate the Mystery Forum for Barnes & Noble at BN.com. You should check out the Fantasy & Science Fiction board, which - like the paranormal book club - is moderated by the fabulous Paul Goat Allen.
